Finding Neverland

Our family had a movie night tonight after a busy week and before a weekend of activity. Maggie Lee picked up Because of Winn Dixie for she and Jack to watch. I picked up one I remember hearing about during the Oscars but never saw--Finding Neverland, a movie with Johnny Depp, Dustin Hoffman and Kate Winslet--about the writer of Peter Pan; about his life and of how the story came about within him. We finished watching the movie an hour or so ago and I am sure I'll be thinking about it for the next several days. What a powerful movie, leaving me to think about:
  • persevering through failure and moving onto success
  • loss, especially to death(especially Peter's question to Jim about his mother's death and the conversation that took place as a result)
  • belief, for this is how one finds Neverland
  • marriage and family
  • the power of imagination
Have you seen it yet?
