Faith, hope and love at Unity Park

This morning(Sat) about 18 of us headed out to Unity Park in downtown Ft. Worth to serve breakfast and water to the homeless. It was fast approaching the 90's as the morning passed and it was great to have shade, water and the fine acoustical music of John, aka Jed, Doshier to keep everyone cool. It also provided us with a great place to have meaningful conversation with the homeless, so that we can drop that description and call them by name, fitting in with our desire to build relationships with them each time we are there. This murial at the park, not painted by us, is a great visual for what we as a community of faith desire to do--hold up faith, hope and love for those who live on the streets of Ft. Worth.

Your Saturday was far more profound than mine. You helped the homeless. I created a pod-blip.

You rock.
